RESPONSIBILITIES:

As this is a fundamental role within the agency, the ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of four to eight years experience in the interactive sphere
• A portfolio that shows both aesthetic sensibilities coupled with UI/IA best practices
• The ability to interface confidently with both clients and internal teams
• An internal desire to continually improve your personal and company's level of design
• Experience in leading projects from inception to implementation

Sr. Producer/Project Manager

Engine Interactive, an 11-year-old award-winning interactive agency, seeks an experienced Internet producer to join our team. As an Engine producer, your primary responsibility will be translating client business needs and objectives into successful online initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the business objectives of the client, both from a short and long term perspective.
• Define project needs and requirements from a strategic, creative, marketing, and technical standpoint.
• Develop project schedules, scope documents, briefs, communication plans, wireframes and other project documentation.
• Lead, manage and coordinate between the client(s) and the multidisciplinary team of interactive designers, programmers, online marketing specialists and support staff.
• Maintain communication with clients and team on status and needs.
• Coordinate the gathering and tracking of project assets, such as images, copy, documents, etc.
• Define (with the assistance of the client and Engine managers) project success metrics.
• Analyze and report goals and results with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 1 - 2 years experience in a lead, client-facing role.
• Highly organized.
• Strong, professional communication skills.
• A strong understanding of standard online design principles including graphic design, user interface, information architecture, creative technologies and the creative process.
• A basic understanding of the appropriate application of industry-standard technical platforms, languages and methodologies including, but not limited to, HTML, DHTML, Flash, CSS, PHP/MySQL, .Net, ASP, Ajax, etc.
• Proficiency with industry standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio) required.
• Experience with MS Project and PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign a plus.
• Experience managing project budgets a plus.
• Experience directing, executing, managing and/or reporting the results of online marketing and search (organic, PPC, etc.) campaigns a strong plus.

Sr. Web Developer

Engine Interactive is seeking a Sr. Web Developer with a strong LAMP background and experience in guiding software projects through all stages of software engineering. This position requires the ability to translate customer visions into functional requirements and to define/architect the best suitable software solution. Successful candidates will have existing examples of PHP/SQL application development and be able to demonstrate advanced organization and collaboration skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified applicants should possess at least 5 years of commercial development experience and have a body of work examples that include a logical approach to complex software engineering.

RESPONSIBILITITES:

• Gather customer requirements and create functional specs
• Architect large scaled web applications
• Oversee and own software projects during implementation
• Maintain and manage various maintenance tasks for multiple projects at a time.
• Shoot rubber bands at co-workers

In addition to the responsibilities above, this candidate must show the willingness to push the envelope of their skills, work independently as well as with a team, and communicate effectively with in a fast paced environment.
